This is the original question
Recreational Cannabis Legalization
Recreational Cannabis usage is illegal for many states, but it has been legalized for some. For example, in Wisconsin it is illegal, while in Oregon it was legalized at 7/1/2015. Some researchers have investigated the effect of Recreational Cannabis Legalization (RCL) on other recreational substances like alcohol and tobacco. Their measure was number of searches and click through rates for advertisements in websites. However, this can be assumed as a predictor for consumption. As an instance, they collected number of searches for alcohol in Oregon before and after 7/1/2015, when cannabis became legalized in this state. They found that after RCL, the consumption of alcohol will decrease, so cannabis appears to be a substitute for alcohol. But for tobacco, the story was different. Researchers found that the consumption for tobacco will increase after RCL, so tobacco and cannabis seem to be complimentary products.
Considering two products mentioned before, alcohol and tobacco, answer to the following questions:
- Which B2B products can be negatively affected by RCL, and what can they do to alleviate their loss, in your opinion?
- Which B2B products can benefit from RCL?
- Imagine that cannabis recreational consumption is going to be legalized in Wisconsin from 2021 (when pigs fly!). Also imagine that you are a millionaire (it is more feasible imagination, I believe), and you want to invest in a B2B market in Wisconsin. What do you prefer to invest just by the information about alcohol and tobacco consumption?
Answers will be submitted as a text entry in a box.
Hint: You should consider alcohol and tobacco companies as B2B direct customers or downstream customers. And you should consider people in the society as end users or consumers.
IMORTANT: Your answer and examples MUST be related to B2B products, and not B2C. Please review chapter 1 if you are not sure about differences between B2B and B2C.
This is my original work, and revision is needed
In the wake of authorizing cannabis the business that was unfavorably influenced separated from liquor was doctor prescribed medications as cannabis is being utilized as a substitute. To ease misfortunes a mindfulness in regards to the damage cannabis causes should have been spreaded. A mission named "stop drug misuse" should be propagated. One B2B item that can profit by sanctioning cannabis is food. As a characteristic principle after utilization of cannabis a gigantic stroke of craving is felt this must be satisfied by "food". As a fruitful mogul (moving towards very rich person), to change over my millions into billions I might want to put resources into cannabis clubs where individuals can feel the delight of getting high moving and indeed, loads and heaps of food.In the wake of legitimizing cannabis the business that was ominously impacted isolated from alcohol was doctor embraced drugs as cannabis is being used as a substitute. To ease adversities a care concerning the wickedness cannabis causes ought to have been spreaded. A mission named "stop drug abuse" ought to be propaganded. One B2B thing that can benefit by endorsing cannabis is food. As a trademark rule after usage of cannabis an enormous stroke of hunger is felt this should be fulfilled by "food". As a powerful investor (moving towards an incredibly rich individual), to change over my millions into billions I should place assets into cannabis clubs where people can feel the enjoyment of getting high going and for sure, loads and stores of food.
This is the Revision that is needed.
1. Your answer is correct, but I need specifically B2B examples that sustain loss because of RCL. Like a company whose customer is a winery or a bar. Not products whose customers are consumers. I mean it must be Business to Business, NOT Business to Consumer.
2. Again, your answer is correct, but I need B2B examples. For example, a paper company who is selling papers to cigarette manufacturers might benefit.
3. The question asked to invest in B2B industry. Your example was not a B2B.
To make it simple, you can consider consumers (end users) as customers of your customers. If your direct customers are end users, you cannot consider it as a B2B. It is B2C.
