Option 1: After listening to the American Life episode linked in the Weekly Prep: One person in part two of the This American Life episode indicated his unwillingness to innovate based on the state of the U.S. patent system. That was in 2013. Discuss the U.S. patent system as it exists today. Does it currently encourage or discourage tech innovation? What changes to the patent system would encourage more innovation?
Option 2: Find an article about an international intellectual property issue that has occurred recently and discuss it.
Option 3: You wish to use patents to protect your new innovation throughout the entire world. Discuss the issues involved in doing this.
