Topic: Are all colleges courses necessary?
Each student will prepare and deliver a 5-7-minute persuasive speech. The purpose of this presentation is to persuade the audience based on credibility, logic and emotion. Four academic sources are required. You will choose your own topic that is persuasive.
If you are uncertain about your topics, ask me if it’s acceptable BEFORE you start working on your presentation. Pick topics which you are familiar. I am grading on your ability to organize and deliver a presentation. Therefore, spend your time organizing and rehearsing your presentation.
• Time: Five to seven minutes
• Delivery: Extemporaneous
• Organization: The presentation follows a clear organizational pattern of a persuasive presentation along with an introduction, body, conclusion, clear thesis, support, and transitions.
• Planning: The presentation will reflect research in the form of a minimum of four sources that are incorporated and cited fully in the presentation.
