The assignment is to write a marketing plan on a company that s/he has formed to market a product or service.

The name of my company- Carnow

The industry in which the company is (e.g. Automobile, Manufacturing, Hospitality, Healthcare, etc) – Car rental Industry

The product or service on which I plan to write my marketing plan – Carnow is website/app that allows car owners to rent out their vehicles online and on the app. Vehicle owners can become Carnow hosts and make their vehicles available for rent. Our purpose is to connect local vehicle owners with people who are looking to rent a car in their area. The company creates an opportunity for car owners to profit from renting their car, while Carnow also gets a percentage.

Below is what I have came up with so far, you can use this or complete start from scratch but the 3 attachments I upload is an example of a marketing plan, my professor wants us to follow that exactly. So how the example marketing plan is written and structured is how mine has to be.

i) Marketing and product objectives

Marketing and product objectives: Carnow rental company has an objective of becoming the car rental service provider; this will be possible by ensuring the company becomes the leading car rental services provider.

ii) Target markets

Carnow targets to be the top leading car rental provider; to achieve this, the company needs to determine its market. Correct targeting of the market will enable the Carnow Company to provide services to many customers (Häme, 2013). When the number of customers increases, the income level acquired from sales subsequently increases. Identifying the market which will greatly buy the products and services that the car rental companies are always very difficult; if Carnow makes correct market identification, it will increase the overall sales, which will lead to increased productivity of the company.

iii) Customer value proposition

Customer value proposition refers to the situation where companies such as Carnow Rental Company can promise the customer that the customers will be provided with the top products and services. The customers usually decide if to engage with the business if the customer value position benefits the customer. Carnow car Rental Company will develop greatly if the customer value position is well defined.

iv) Points of difference

Points of difference refer to factors or activities that a particular company undertakes to differentiate itself from competitors in the market. For example, Carnow Rental Company strives to ensure it remains the leading provider of the leasing of car rental services.
