Was Shakespeare a thief? Did he steal the plot for Macbeth right out of the pages of the Bible? What similarities can be found between the story of original sin in Genesis and Shakespeare's Macbeth? After reading Genesis 3 and after reading and viewing Macbeth, write an essay in which you compare the similarities between these two narratives. Support your discussion with evidence from the texts.
Genesis 3 is "The Creation and the Fall" story, which is also the story of Adam, Eve, and their fall from grace.
