The Invisible War is a documentary about sexual assault in the U.S. armed forces.  The documentary shares stories told by victims themselves (NOT actors), and also includes interviews with military personnel, lawmakers, and other advocates of stopping this violence. Statistics suggest that there have been 500,000 sexual assaults in the U.S. military. And according to Pentagon statistics released in early 2013, sexual assault increased by 35% between 2010 and 2012! These reports prompted a series of Congressional hearings that investigated handling of sexual assaults in the military. Many branches of the military have made this video mandatory viewing in efforts to raise awareness of the problem. Please take this opportunity to educate yourself on this important issue; credible information on this topic is abundant on the Internet. In this Discussion Forum, (1) add new insight into the issue of sexual harassment in the military, or (2) to introduce another area of the work place where sexual discrimination or sexual harassment is common.
