Secondary/tertiary intervention Program

Due Saturday March 4th at 8:30pm

Write a profile of specific educational programs intended to meet the learning, physical, or behavioral needs for students who learn differently. The profile paper is for a secondary/tertiary intervention program. Identify an educational program designed to help students and describe the following elements: 

1. Who the intervention is for, including the age of the child(ren), type of disability/problem/risk factor the intervention to address, and whether it is a primary, secondary, or tertiary intervention.

2. A program description that includes the purpose of the intervention, scope/implementation components, and resources necessary for implementation (time & expertise).

3. The theoretical basis behind the program (e.g., behaviorism, cognitive theory, social learning theory, etc.).

4. The research supporting the program’s claim to effectiveness.

5. Describe how/why the intervention is relevant to at least two relevant local, state, or federal policies.

6. Describe assessment/evaluation instruments you could use to evaluate the fidelity and outcomes of the intervention.

7. Discuss how the intervention fits within the context of the national school social work practice model and the national school social work standards.

8. Reflect on the feasibility and the quality of the intervention given your experiences in the schools.

9. Introduction and conclusion

*don't exceed 5 pages in length; not including the title page, references, tables, figures, or appendices. Use of APA styling (7th edition) is expected*
