Additionally, in a Department of Justice press releaseLinks to an external site. entitled "FBI Attorney Admits Altering Email Used for FISA Application During "Crossfire Hurricane" Investigation" Former FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith, 38, pleaded guilty today in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to a false statement offense stemming from his altering of an email in connection with the submission of a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (“FISA”) application.
This is but one example and it fails to neatly validate anyone’s favored political narrative. This at a minimum should raise disturbing questions about the adequacy of the FISA process and not just in this investigation.

What are the consequences of political behavior?
Can those in positions of power exert their authority based on their politics, which can lead to abuse?
Ethical issues emerge when the use of power stretches into the realm of political behavior.
