Assignment Content
For this assignment, you will be playing the role of a corporate environmental manager who will provide training on the basics of completing air permits for newly hired environmental technicians who work for your company at several different facilities in the southern United States, specific to the paint booth operations.
You are asked to create a PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) that includes an overview of basic air pollution concepts and the first steps for developing an air permit.
Please create a presentation of at least six slides that cover the following main topics below:
Discuss the interactions of atmospheric chemicals and atmospheric pollutants.
Describe the environmental health, and safety (EHS) implications of an industrial paint/coating spray booth work system on the ambient environment (i.e., the neighborhood and surrounding areas of the facility; not the employees of the facility).
Discuss the natural and anthropogenic variables causally related to outdoor and indoor air pollution.
Demonstrate how to calculate volatile organic compounds (VOC) and exempt solvent (ES) values showing your calculation steps for the actual scenario tabulated data and citing Godish et al. (2014) properly for those steps (all calculation steps described in the Unit 3 Study Guide are derived from Chapter 7).
The slide count does not include the required title slide and reference slides.
Your slides should utilize bullet points. Do not include full paragraphs of written text because this is not conducive to a good presentation.
Please use the slide notes function on the slides to add supplementary notes and information that you would use to aid you in your presentation. Do not include citations in your speaker notes (required for every slide) but do include citations on all content and graphic (required) slides.
You must use at least two scholarly sources to support your presentation, one of which must come from the CSU Online Library as a peer-reviewed journal article. Adhere to APA guidelines when creating citations (CSU Citation Guide p. 6 to cite all content slides and graphics) and references (CSU Citation Guide pp. 9-11) for this assignment.
