Assignment #3 - Building Sustainable Communities

First, you should read Chapter 5 in An Introduction to Community Development and Chapter Three in Asset Building & Community Development.

Next, create an explanatory POST of at least 500 words describing the importance of Sustainability to Community Development and ways to assist in developing Sustainable Communities. Enhance your POST entry with examples, images, and illustrations that you may be able to find using a simple internet search on the subjects of "Community Sustainability" and "Sustainable Communities." Submit your explanatory POST in the "Sustainable Communities" DISCUSSION before midnight on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

This POST must be entirely in your own words and should be based on the information provided in the assigned chapters from the two required texts and that you find through your internet search. Remember, outside WIKIs and sources such as Cliff Notes should never be used or referenced in an academic setting. Also, do not "cut and paste" or even directly quote from any outside source--that, after all, is what "entirely in your own words" means. For this part of the assignment you may receive up to 10 points credit.
