Assignment #8-Select Communities for Asset Based Community Development Exercises

Between now and September 25th we will select four separate communities to focus on, assign class members to community assessment teams for each selected community, and prepare to perform a variety of Asset Mapping and Capacity Inventory exercises by each team on their assigned community.

For this current assignment you should:

1. View the Essays posted in the "Why My Community Needs CD" Discussion by all your classmates 

2. Submit the names of four of the communities advocated in these ESSAYs in priority order, with the one you think deserves Community Development most listed first. For each of the four, provide a brief rationale as to why you believe that community deserves to be considered. Use what information is contained in the ESSAYs, what you know about that particular community personally, information you can gather about that community from outside sources, and what you have learned so far in this class about Asset Based Community Development to make your decision and to craft your rationale for making that decision.
