Instructions 

For this discussion board, you are asked to reflect on the readings and videos related to the restorative justice approach to juvenile crime - peacemaking circles. In the weekly module, you are provided with several readings and videos to provide you a deeper understanding of what a peacemaking circle is, how does it relate to restorative justice, and its' benefits vs. punitive approaches. 

In your initial discussion board, you are asked to:

1. Provide a brief overview of the history of peacemaking circles and describe how this restorative justice approach may be beneficial to combating juvenile delinquency. 

2. Ask 1 - 2 questions to your classmates about the pros and cons of peacemaking circles. Feel free to be creative with these questions. Just make sure it directly relates to the material and encourages critical thinking.
