As noted by Ahern et al. (2014), the RP offered a more accessible version of the pre-substantive phase and provided recommendations for interviewers to integrate non-suggestive supportive comments, particularly in reaction to uncertain behaviors. The RP enhanced the overall support levels during the pre-substantive phase of the interview, making it the most relevant section to investigate in this research (Hershkowitz et al., 2013). Moreover, since the objective of the pre-substantive phase is to provide support (Lamb et al., 2008), interviewers should prioritize building rapport during this segment of the interview. In this case study, it is essential to pinpoint warning signs or behavioral indicators that may suggest that sexual abuse is occurring. The pre-substantive phase is the initial segment of a forensic interview that takes place before addressing any allegations of abuse. During this phase, the interviewer fosters a trusting relationship with the child, clarifies the rules of the interview, and conducts a practice narrative to aid the child in understanding the process and to encourage accurate, detailed reporting. Finally, a thorough timeline of events is needed, detailing when the photo-taking began, how frequently it occurred, and the context surrounding each incident. It is crucial to collect specific information concerning her husband's threats. What exactly did he say? When did he express these remarks? Did he resort to physical aggression or other intimidating methods? This information is crucial for evaluating her claims of being in a perilous situation. Clarification is also necessary regarding the degree of her husband's involvement. Did he oversee the photo-taking? Was he the one who took any pictures? Where are those photographs kept?
