Artwork Critique Paper or Project

Choose an artwork to create a video recording of that you analyze and critique from the textbook or the site below.

The link provided below offer bountiful amounts of artworks, essays, and artworks to choose from.

That being said, you DO NOT have to choose an artwork from this site, you can choose another artist and artwork not listed on this site. If you have questions please be sure to let me know.

Included:

-Analysis/critique of the artwork

-Think of it like a podcast setting, making it fun and vibrant

-Make sure the link/video is visible and accessible (i.e. if it's a YouTube link make it public or unlisted with access).

-A script is useful, but use it as a basis, don't merely read word for word from the script or it may sound monotonous

-Find a friend, sibling or anyone who may be interested in doing the assignment with you (they do not have to be part of this course, but can be)

*If you and a classmate choose to buddy up, you need to each submit a separate critique.

*This is not required, but may help with breaking up different voices.

-Keep it light and vibrant, while also clearly analyzing the work itself.

-There is no specific time frame, but make sure the "quantity" (i.e. length of video) is appropriate to the QUALITY of the artwork.

**If you do not wish to create a video, alternatively you can write a 500+ word essay critiquing and analyzing the work of art instead. This must be written grammatically correct with correct punctuation, grammar, and sentence structure. Double spaced in Times New Roman or Verdana font size 12. Artworks must be cited correctly with quotations or italics, and any words that are not your own cited in text and with an attached sources page. A minimum of 5 sources are required, the textbook may count as one of the sources
